I believe there are great benefits to be had in business were it to fully understand an embrace the potential of Neurodiverse individuals.

This can be achieved through a combination of a targeted and appropriate recruitment policy and process and embracing the Neurodiverse workforce already in the business in a way which is open and welcoming.

From my experience I know there is a stigma attached to Neurodiversity. This stigma is holding people back from being fully open about their condition, whether officially diagnosed or not. Why would anybody want to open up if they know they will just be labelled as ‘weird’?

Change has to be driven by leadership. Often this is made up of people in what I term as the Rainman & Ritalin Generation, people like me who grew up believing Neurodiversity to be nothing but card counting savants and difficult children.

My goal is to work with business leaders to break this stigma. Can you help me?

Collaborative session targeted at board or senior leadership groups focusing on the benefits of Neurodiversity in the current workforce and how to embrace it.

Time:

Likely format will be up to 20 minutes talk from me with 20 – 30 minutes follow on discussion. The more engagement in the discussion the better. I will tailor the talk to be industry and seniority level specific.

Outcomes:

  • Greater understanding of Neurodiversity and it’s benefits in the workplace

  • Clear steps on how to embrace Neurodiversity in the current workforce
